Stephanie Inglis Named NHBM Board Co-Chair

After serving as a board member for six years, including vice-chair, Stephanie Inglis has been appointed co-chair of the New Hampshire Boat Museum (NHBM) Board of Trustees. Serving alongside fellow co-chair Jaime Laurent, Inglis replaces Dr. Allison Hart, who served in the role for the past 4 years. Inglis grew up in Wolfeboro and is a real estate agent at Lake Life Realty in Moultonborough. In 2022, she helped acquire NHBM’s Moultonborough campus and sold its former property in Back Bay. “Most recently, I’ve been working with the Renovation Committee on the transformation of our Moultonborough facility,” she said.

Development Director Wendy Stocker expressed excitement regarding Inglis’ new role. “Stephanie has proven her commitment to rooting NHBM in the community, and I know she will be a strong leader of our board,” she said.

According to Inglis, one of her main areas of focus will be to connect people with NHBM, which reflects a mindset she has developed in real estate. “I have many contacts in the community with specific expertise like engineers, electricians, and plumbers,” she added. “I feel like I’m a resource for connection.”

Inglis said she also hopes to “uplift” NHBM as a staple in the greater Lakes Region community and the state. “I want to propel us to new populations and new people,” she explained. “We’re bigger than a museum. We offer boat charters, programs for kids, and a variety of experiences for people outside of the museum walls.” According to Inglis, NHBM is entering 2025 “in constant evolution.” “Our fundraising is ever-changing, our exhibits are changing,” she added. “We’re not going to be stagnant…Stay tuned.”
