Guided Docent Tours

Our trained docents lead your group through a curated museum experience (typically 45–60 minutes) that includes:

  • A walk through our exhibits exploring the evolution of boating on Lake Winnipesaukee and beyond
  • A close look at vintage and antique wooden boats, including classic runabouts, canoes, and racing craft
  • Interactive displays that highlight boatbuilding, recreation, and the region’s rich maritime culture
  • Stories of local boatbuilders, lake life, and the traditions that shaped the region
  • Time to browse the museum shop, featuring books, gifts, and locally inspired souvenirs

Docents are available to answer questions and provide insights throughout your visit, creating a structured and informative experience.

Prefer a more relaxed pace? Our museum is designed for free-flowing, self-guided exploration, allowing your guests to:

  • Wander at their own pace, lingering where they’re curious
  • Explore beautifully restored boats and hands-on exhibits
