Your gift will help support the many programs and exhibitions that the Museum produces. Donations can be made here via credit card. Other types of donations that can be made are gifts of securities, in-kind gifts, and a company match.

The George Johnson Memorial Fund, like an endowment, is managed by the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation (NHCF) that provides annual support to the Museum. Gifts to the Johnson fund can be made to NHCF.

Legacy Society

Leave a legacy by supporting the New Hampshire Boat Museum beyond your lifetime.  Ensure that your interest and passion for our rich freshwater boating traditions continue to be preserved and shared by the Museum.  Your gift to NHBM will allow future generations to enjoy this heritage. NHBM welcomes those who have included the Museum in their giving and estate plans into our Legacy Society.

Benefits of a Planned Gift

  • It’s easy! With a detailed will you can protect your family and support organizations you care about.
  • Gain charitable deductions now even for future gifts.
  • Reduce or avoid capital gains tax
  • Save on gift or estate taxes for your heirs
  • Increase your existing income for life, or a specific term, with an annuity or similar charitable option.

Bequests: The easiest option in estate planning. Name the New Hampshire Boat Museum as a beneficiary in your will or trust. A will or trust can be modified during an individual’s lifetime if changing circumstances dictate.

Other Gifts: You can also name the New Hampshire Boat Museum as a beneficiary of an IRA, 401k, 403b, or other qualified gift plan.  This simple approach to planned giving may generate significant tax savings for your estate and heirs while supporting NHBM and our mission. Naming NHBM as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy is another option for supporting the Museum with potential estate tax savings for your heirs.

Speak with your financial advisor about a lasting legacy at the New Hampshire Boat Museum. For more information please contact Wendy Stocker at development@nhbm.org or call 603-569-4554 ext. 1003.
