In honor of July 4, the New Hampshire Boat Museum (NHBM) will offer free admission for New Hampshire residents on Friday, July 1.
“We wanted to find a way to honor this special day and provide value back to New Hampshire residents since we are closed on Monday, July 4,” said NHBM Executive Director Martha Cummings.
Highlights at NHBM this year include programs for children, sailing and boat-building programs for youth, adults and families in addition to a featured exhibit that explores how steam engines, particularly steamboats, changed New Hampshire. Upcoming programs also include the New England Vintage Boat and Car Auction on Saturday, July 16.
“A lot of what we do is focused on boating heritage, lake life, and bringing awareness about our fresh waterways in the state,” added Cummings. Join us Friday, July 1 and explore NHBM at no charge.
Free New Hampshire Resident Admission Day takes place on Friday, July 1, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at NHBM, 399 Center St., in Wolfeboro. To gain free entry, New Hampshire residents should bring their driver’s license.
