Enjoy the Thrill of Your Life in a Race Boat!
(Must be 21 years old)
Ever wonder what it’s like to take a turn around the course in a race boat? During the Wolfeboro Vintage Race Boat Regatta you can fulfill your dreams by purchasing a ride in some of the participating race boats. Special heats have been scheduled to give you that opportunity.
Many of the race boat drivers donate their time and resources to provide rides around the course in one of their amazing, and very exciting, vintage boats. All proceeds from the sale of these rides go to help the New Hampshire Boat Museum and the costs of the Regatta.
Race boat rides at this event are governed by the rules of the American Power Boat Association which have age, health and physical condition restrictions. All participants will be required to sign a waiver and will wear APBA approved safety equipment for their ride. All riders younger than 18 years of age must be accompanied by their parent(s) or legal guardian who must sign a “Minor Waiver and Release”. You’ll be required to suit up in an approved safety flotation vest and helmet (supplied), receive a safety briefing and then off you go!
To book your ride, visit the charity rides tent in Cate Park past the gazebo. Get there early on Friday or Saturday to have your pick of times. Times will be posted the day of the event.
