Madoshumi V1934 Chris Craft 26 Foot Special Race Boat Chris-Craft A120 engine. Madoshumi V is the first of seven
26 foot Special Race boats built between 1934 and 1936 by Chris Craft, she was successfully raced in the
1934 and 1935 seasons in the 850 cubic inch class, and won the Wanamaker Trophy, the All-Star Celebrity
Race and the Chris-Craft Invitational Race as well as the Palm Beach and Miami Regattas. She also
won her class at the President’s Cup Regatta at Washington, DC in both 1934 and 1935. She is planked
with 3/8” planking as compared to the standard ½” thick planking commonly used for building boats of
her type. Madoshumi V’s speed is attributed to the lighter planking along with a modified bottom design
