Hot to Trot
Owner/Driver: Leo Croisetiere, Dover, NH
The Hot to Trot hydroplane was designed by Ed Karelson and built by Chug Reilly in 1987 for Sid Thompson of Maryland who ran it under the name Beverly Ann. Built with a hull LOA of 18’2” and a beam of 5’ it was originally campaigned as a 280 E class hydroplane.
Ownership was transferred to Ronnie Thompson of Essex, MD sometime in 1989 and run under the moniker of Red Bird while being driven by George Kennedy to become National & World Champion that same year. The boat continued to be campaigned successfully becoming the Region 4 High Point Champion in the years 1989, 1990, & 1991 as a 266 hydro, presumably by Ronnie Thompson & George Kennedy.
