THE NEW HAMPSHIRE BOAT MUSEUM PRESENTS THE ALTON BAY BOAT SHOW
July 22, 2009 - Wolfeboro, NH.
The New Hampshire Boat Museum presents the 33rd Annual Alton Bay Boat Show on Saturday, August 8, 9am to 12noon, at the Alton Bay Public Docks on Lake Winnipesaukee. This is an informal, non-judged vintage boat show with all “woodies” welcome. No advance registration is necessary.

This boat show has run continuously for the past 32 years, with only one rain date in three decades. Traditionally held on the second Saturday of August, the Alton Bay Boat Show is open to all antique and classic boats at the twenty-four docks at the bay.

The public is invited to participate or come as a spectator and vote for the People's Choice Awards given to the top three entries. Some of the famous wooden boat makers at the show will include Chris-Craft, Lyman, Garwood, Hackercraft, and Old Town. The boats range in style from Runabouts, Cruisers, Triple cockpits, as well as canoes and rowboats.

This is a great opportunity to view some of the most beautiful boats on Lake Winnipesaukee. The event is free and open to the public.

The New Hampshire Boat Museum gratefully acknowledges the event sponsors: Alton Motorsports, Bayside Inn, Gillan Marine, Sandy Point Beach Resort, Shibley's at the Pier, West Alton Marine, Dean and Teresa Puzzo, and a Friend.

Other upcoming events include the August 13th Boathouse Tour, for which tickets are now on sale, and the Wolfeboro Vintage Race Boat Regatta September 17 - 19.
