A HISTORY OF THE NHBM MODEL YACHT GROUP
The model yacht group was established in 2008, with the assistance of
the New Hampshire Boat Museum (NHBM) and the Laconia Model Yacht Club,
to promote radio controlled sailing in the Wolfeboro area. Their mission
was to build and sail a fleet of sailboats, while providing participants
and spectators an avenue to enjoy this hobby. Read

Model Yacht News from The Back Bay Skippers
August 24, 2010
Our
Tuesday Regatta was full of excitement, as our races were subjected to
constant, twitching, unpredictable winds.
There were several boat collisions and other problems, with rescues following.
8 official races were run with 11 skippers.
As usual, our mentor Ned Lakeman show all others, the way to first place
glory, with Joel Nelson & Bill Foote vying for 2nd & 3rd slots,
with Bill Malay close behind. A pleasant heart pounding day with an enthusiastic
crowd of onlookers
Our sailors welcome visitors to the regattas. Stop by, join the fun, try
your hand at sailing, or just watch the show. Make sure you bring the
kids and your camera. We sail every Tuesday afternoon starting at 1 PM,
weather permitting. Look for us on the Bridge Falls Path, right by the
municipal parking lot, at the end of Lehner Street.
