Wooden Boat Restoration Course

The course will evolve around wooden boat restoration using modern technology, tools and materials to repair and rebuild a boat's structure in order to achieve a safe, sound wooden vessel while maintaining the beauty of the original factory shipped boat.

The class is designed to remove the mystique of wooden boat restoration and will focus on “hands on” fundamentals such as the survey of an old wooden boat, planking, steam bending, varnishing and more.

The course will be offered over a three-week period in January and held in the workshop area of the Museum's Storage Building at 397 Center Street, Wolfeboro Falls.

The cost for the course is $450 per person. Six classes will run 9am to 3pm on the following dates:
Monday, January 11
Wednesday, January 13
Monday, January 18
Wednesday, January 20
Monday, January 25
Wednesday, January 27

Snow dates will be determined as necessary. For further information, contact the course instructor, Zeke Bly, at zbly@metrocast.net or 603-569-5010. To register, complete the Application and Waiver Form. Applications are due by January 4.
