"Meet the Drivers" Dinners
September 7, 2009. The New Hampshire Boat Museum will host “Meet the Drivers” social events as part of the Wolfeboro Vintage Raceboat Regatta. These are opportunities for the public to come and meet the drivers and their race crews who are coming from all over the United States and Canada to participate in this event to be held on September 18 and 19.
A reception will be held at the New Hampshire Boat Museum, 397 Center Street, on Wednesday,
September 16 from 5 to 7pm. With refreshments provided, the ticket price is $25 per person.
The Wolfeboro Inn will be the venue for the Friday night Meet the Drivers Dinner. In addition to a full dinner buffet, cash bar, and same-day videos to be shared, a min-auction will take place of regatta-related items. This includes the original Peter Ferber painting that has been commissioned exclusively for the NH Boat Museum's commemorative regatta poster.
The Awards Banquet will be held Saturday, September 19 at the Wolfetrap Raw Bar & Grill, beginning a 6pm, and will include a full dinner buffet, cash bar, and same-day videos.
Reservations for the Friday and Saturday night dinners are required. Tickets are $45 per person and may be purchased by calling the museum at 569-4554. All proceeds benefit the New Hampshire Boat Museum, a 501(c)3 nonprofit educational organization focusing on boating heritage and life on the lakes and rivers of New Hampshire.
This well-planned event is accomplished through the dedication of over 100 volunteers and through collaboration with the American Power Boat Association, State of New Hampshire Marine Patrol, Town of Wolfeboro and the support of the community.
